Troutin' on the Brule River

Writer's picture: Daniel MeyerDaniel Meyer

Today Hometown Hero Outdoors had the amazing opportunity to get out for some fall Trout fishing. The day started off with a quick two hour drive to Brule, WI, where we met our guide Cory Wehrman of Wehrman's Fishing Adventures. We stopped by the local gas station and picked up our licenses and trout stamps. Cory had us to the river and fishing by dawn to start chasing the hungry fish. As soon as Cory showed us the technique that he's found to work best in that part of the river, we were catching fish.

The Brule River is a picturesque Northwoods Wisconsin river that holds many different species of trout and salmon depending the time of year. By the end of the day we were able to bring a few brown trout home to eat and let go a lot of steelhead and one brook trout.

If you're in need of an amazing guide, on a great river, and a great time look no further then Wehrman's Fishing Adventures. Cory will teach you everything you need to know on how to catch the big ones. Many thanks to Cory for the awesome time!
