At the end of July HHO started its journey to beautiful Tofino, British Columbia for 4 days of fishing on the Nauti Girl. Daniel Meyer and Chris Urman we're joined by Mark(U.S. Navy Vet), Jeff(U.S. Army Vet and Retired Kent Police Department Officer), Scott, and Paul(Metro Transit Officers).
The crew met at MSP Airport and headed for Vancouver, BC. The next day they took the ferry to Vancouver Island. If you've never been to the Pacific North West, the views are amazing and a must see during your life.
Once arriving to Tofino, we met up with our hosts and Captain of the Nauti Girl John C Meyer and Denise. Everyone got a quick overview of what it's like to fish in the Pacific Ocean and the various techniques that we would be using to target both Salmon and the other target species.
4 days of fishing together brought many things, many memories shared and new ones created, tons of fish caught, and lifetime friendships forged. It was clear that the mission of HHO was achieved through this trip.
We look forward to making this an annual trip and can't thank John and Denise enough for their hospitality.
