TeamNH- Fly Fishing

Writer's picture: AleciaAnneAleciaAnne

On 4 June, #HHOTeamNH hit the Connecticut River in Pittsburg, New Hampshire for a great day of dry fly-fishing courtesy of #SoftHackleGuideService. The guide Al, is also a Vietnam Veteran.

We were joined by David from the #SomersworthPoliceDepartment and had a great day on the water. Al Karg took the time to teach us the nuances of the water and get us on some great fish. We caught brookies, rainbows and the odd landlocked salmon. Dave caught the fish of the day; a chunky unclipped rainbow that was in the 16-18 inch range. Al made the day about more than just fishing. His hope was that we left the river better fishermen that when we arrived. He also took the time to share stories about his service that made us wish we could have served with great men like him. If you are looking to flyfish in Northern New Hampshire, Al and Soft Hackle Guide Service should be your first choice. Thanks Al and Dave for a memorable day.
