#HHOTeamWI conducted the Atomic Ice Derbyfor the 2nd year in a row. HHO has now dedicated this weekend to be named Sergeant Tyler
Wood Memorial Trip. The evening starting with an ice breaker at The Dugout 47 where everyone was able to get to know each other before hitting the #hardwater for 13 hours of fishing.
20 HHO members joined area guide Anthony Larson along with 3 HHO Field Staff. The fishing started out slow, but as the sun rose, the fishing picked up allowing qualifying fish to be caught for the derby. Red Bull helped keep the group going through the night, into the morning and afternoon weigh in.
Sergeant Tyler Wood is a 2014 graduate of Onalaska High School. Shortly after graduating he joined the United States Army, where he was stationed in Hawaii and spent a short deployment to South Korea. He returned to Hawaii until the time of his passing on July 17, 2019. Tyler's loss is a great tragedy to his fellow soldiers, friends, and family. HHO is honored to dedicate this weekend to him.
